  • Why Should I Choose Therapy?

As one client said of sessions, "It's chill but challenging... in all the right ways. And I actually look forward to it. Didn't think that would happen. But this is the place where I practice building the me I want to be."

I believe many times in our culture when we hear the terms “therapy” or “counseling,” we quickly assume that someone is going through unusual or severe personal or family problems. Granted, that is true maybe with various persons seeking therapy services. However, there remains a stigma in our society – a conditioning, of sorts – in which we are so geared towards self-reliance that we feel or view ourselves as weak or “less than” if we lean upon others for support.

Many working professionals, athletes, students, and couples who are not having “problems” much different than the rest of us come to services to bolster their personal or family building process. They simply embrace the truth that we are persons-in-community. They realize that we each are under construction, inclined to various “blind spots,” and that working with a psychotherapist along life’s journey is a strength in their lives.

They are afforded a safe space to process or think out loud the choices before them, work towards habits that line up with their goals of personal or family progress and integrate the services into their overall system of support.

  • How do I schedule an appointment with you?

The easiest way to reach out is by sending an email with your contact info and inquiry. I typically can read through these by week's end, and we'll set up a time for an introductory call.

  • What about education, experience & training?

I'm a licensed, nationally certified, private-practice psychotherapist (LPC).

    ▪️National Certified Counselor (NBCC).

▪️EFT Trained (Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Ryan Rana, PhD, LMFT, LPC and Debi Scimeca-Diaz, LMFT, LCADC).

▪️CAMS-II Nationally Certified Anger Management Specialist.

    ▪️Doctoral candidate.

▪️Office within East Cobb Counseling in Marietta, Georgia.

With over a decade of experience, it's my joy to work with persons and organizations seeking hope, healing and transformation. At the heart of my practice is empowering persons and families to navigate their lives in a manner congruent with what matters most to them. The aim is for you to achieve heartfelt goals of transformation, discovering meaning and value in everyday connections. Each person and family is unique. So, the approach is integrative, relational and customized just for you.

As someone who values lifelong learning, I’m grateful to hold two master's degrees; and I'm currently completing doctoral work this year. This extensive training, coupled with years of practical experience, affords a profound appreciation for the complexities of the human experience. From working professionals facing the daily grind of pressure to perform; teenagers or young adults struggling with questions of identity and belonging; or couples seeking to strengthen their connectedness in practical ways, the invitation for caring support is yours.

  • Can I Make Positive Changes?

I hold that every person has the potential to take action steps in the direction towards enhanced well-being. The guiding compass is loving choices congruent with a healthy understanding of the nature and power of loving relationships.

How we relate to self, others and the World is critical. We're all in process, as is the World, so our focus is to create a healthier rhythm to our relationships.
